Who we are
FunnelToolLab (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website at funneltoollab.com.
Contact: contact@funneltoollab.com.
What data we collect
- Email address — only if you opt in to our newsletter or send us a message.
- Comments — name, email, and the comment text if you leave a comment on a post. Your email is never published.
- Analytics — anonymized page views, referrers, country, device type. Collected via our self-hosted analytics. We do NOT use Google Analytics by default.
- Affiliate click tracking — when you click an affiliate link, the destination merchant may set their own tracking cookies. FunnelToolLab does not intentionally use affiliate click tracking to identify you personally. Affiliate networks, merchants, or analytics providers may process tracking data under their own privacy policies.
What we use it for
- To send you newsletter emails you’ve opted in to receive.
- To improve the site (which articles work, which don’t).
- To respond to messages you send us.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your email with third parties for marketing.
Cookies
See our Cookie Policy for the full list of cookies we and our service providers use.
Your rights (GDPR, CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, object to, or restrict processing of your personal data. These rights may include:
- Requesting a copy of the personal data we hold on you.
- Asking us to correct or delete that data.
- Objecting to processing or requesting restriction of processing.
- Withdrawing your consent at any time (every email has an unsubscribe link).
- Lodging a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Email contact@funneltoollab.com to exercise any rights that apply to you. We aim to respond within 30 days where required by applicable law.
Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases under Articles 6 and 7 of the GDPR:
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — newsletter signup and any optional analytics. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) — site security via Cloudflare, basic anonymised analytics to understand which articles work, and responding to messages you send us.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — where we are required to keep records or respond to lawful requests.
How long we keep your data
- Newsletter emails — kept until you unsubscribe, then deleted from our active list within 30 days. Suppression records (your email + the fact you unsubscribed) are kept indefinitely so we do not accidentally re-add you.
- Comments — kept as long as the article remains published. Deleted on request.
- Analytics logs — anonymised aggregates kept indefinitely. Raw access logs (which include IP addresses for security) are deleted within 30 days.
- Contact form / email correspondence — kept for up to 24 months after the last reply, then deleted.
International data transfers
Some service providers may process data in countries outside your location, including where our hosting, analytics, email, security, and affiliate partners operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections and service-provider privacy terms.
Children’s privacy
FunnelToolLab is intended for adults building online businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, contact contact@funneltoollab.com and we will delete it where required.
Third-party services
We use or may use email service providers, Cloudflare for security/performance, analytics tools, and affiliate platforms such as PartnerStack, Impact.com, Amazon Associates, ClickBank, or Digistore24. Not every provider listed is active at all times — we add or remove providers as the site evolves, and each provider processes data under its own privacy policy.
- Email service providers (e.g., MailerLite, ConvertKit, Brevo) — used or may be used to deliver newsletter emails. Your email is stored on the provider’s servers under their privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — used or may be used for content delivery, performance, and DDoS protection. Cloudflare may log IP addresses for security purposes.
- Analytics tools — used or may be used to count page views and understand which articles work, on an anonymised basis where feasible.
- Affiliate networks and platforms (e.g., PartnerStack, Impact.com, Amazon Associates, ClickBank, Digistore24) — when you click an affiliate link, you leave our site and become subject to the destination’s privacy policy.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a material way, we’ll post the update here and (if you’re subscribed) email you. The “Last updated” date above shows when this version was published.
